Miranda Water Technologies Deploys Second Miracell® Essential System at Major Gold Mine in Türkiye

July 31, 2025

Peterborough, Ontario, July 31, 2025 – Miranda Water Technologies, a global provider of decentralized water and wastewater treatment solutions, announced today the successful deployment of a second Miracell® Essential wastewater treatment system at Gübretaş Mining, a subsidiary of Türkiye Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri. This new installation follows the successful commissioning of the first system at the same site in 2022.

The new system was installed to support one of Türkiye’s largest gold mining operations and is designed to meet the wastewater treatment needs of more than 500 day workers. With a focus on scalability and rapid installation, the Miracell® Essential provides an effective solution for industrial clients operating in remote and challenging environments where reliability, a compact footprint, and minimal maintenance are essential.

Miracell® is a durable and energy-efficient Rotating Biological Contactor housed within a containerized unit. Its design addresses the specific needs of the mining industry, where environmental compliance, operational continuity, and cost efficiency are key priorities. The system is built to accommodate variable flow rates and influent characteristics, while delivering consistent performance without the need for daily operator oversight.

Miranda’s Miracell® technology has been installed in over 1,200 locations across more than 40 countries. In nearly every country where Miranda operates, the Miracell® has been selected for deployment at mining sites or oil and gas facilities, reinforcing its reputation for reliability in demanding industrial environments.

Our team is proud to see a second Miracell® Essential system installed at this major site. The client’s decision to expand the system reflects the proven value and reliability of our technology,” said Michael Skinner, CEO of Miranda Water Technologies. “At Miranda, we develop solutions that make water and wastewater management more efficient, more sustainable, and more accessible, especially in regions where infrastructure is limited or rapidly evolving.”

This second installation reflects Miranda’s ongoing commitment to delivering modular, high-performance water and wastewater treatment systems that enable industrial operations to achieve both environmental and operational goals.
