Peterborough, Ontario, July 17, 2025 – Miranda Water Technologies, a global provider of decentralized water and wastewater treatment solutions, announced today the successful deployment of another fully containerized R/OCell® seawater treatment system in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The new installation is now fully operational at Northwest Point Condominiums in Providenciales, delivering safe and reliable drinking water to residents and guests.
The system draws directly from a deep saltwater well with salinity levels exceeding 40,000 parts per million, which is higher than the average salinity of ocean water. In just four months, it has produced more than 2 million litres of high-quality, remineralized drinking water. This deployment demonstrates Miranda’s continued commitment to helping remote and island communities secure sustainable access to safe drinking water.
The installation features Miranda’s R/OCell® technology, a fully containerized reverse osmosis system designed for energy efficiency, durability, and ease of deployment. Integrated with SmartCell, Miranda’s remote monitoring platform, the system provides real-time visibility and performance optimization. Local installation and ongoing service are supported by Been Construction Ltd., Miranda’s trusted partner in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
“Our team is proud to deliver another successful seawater to tap solution in Providenciales,” said Michael Skinner, CEO of Miranda Water Technologies. “This project addresses the need for reliable access to safe drinking water and reflects the growing confidence in our technology across the region. Our containerized R/OCell® systems offer an efficient, flexible approach to meeting the water demands of residential and hospitality developments in coastal environments.”
Chris Potts, Chairman of Northwest Point Condominiums, commented, “When I became Chairman, one of my first goals was to enhance our infrastructure. Access to fresh, safe drinking water was a top priority. With Miranda’s system, we now have a reliable, remotely monitored, and locally supported water source. The turnkey solution delivered exactly what we needed, and I’m extremely happy with the results.”
This installation marks another containerized Miranda system now operating in Turks and Caicos, reinforcing the company’s ongoing push for resilient water infrastructure in the region.
